What is the Bims? :Having been emerged with volcanic activities, Bims (Pumice) is a natural volcanic stone, crystallized with substantive pores and durable against physical and chemical effects. There being approximately 9 million m3 reserves at the middle and east part of Turkey. Bims (Pumice) reserves in Nevsehir is over the World Standarts in relation to its quality. Bims has been abstracted from open mining fields with heavy construction equipments. Having been abstracted from our licenced fields or other open mining fields as the raw material, Bims (Pumice) has been manufactured and used through classification with screening at our factory. Usage of Bims (Pumice) at Construction as Heat Insulation Component: It is essential with Pumice (Bims) at construction to keep the heat balance at indoor places, to provide energy savings with the usage at heating and cooling functions against the outdoor climate conditions, to solve environmental problems, to reduce the air pollution and most importantly to take measure for heat isolation.
Through precautions for Heat Isolation which will be supplied with the usage of available Natural Pumice (Bims) raw materials, construction components are protected against external effects. Since it has implemeted the conditions of physical conditions, construction comfort promotes, moisture and mould problems at walls disappear, it reduces termic loading by keeping the heat tension at minimum level at conveyor systems that sustain the buildings, it reduces the operationg cost. On condition that Pumice (Bims) is used at constructions as the Heat Insulation Element due to its light, cellular and natural structure the Country Energy Savings, it contributes to the country energy savings. It has been determined that it is not obeyed to the rules of TS. 825 which is compulsory for Heat Insulation at constructions. At this attempt, It is decided to search for the usage of Pumice (Bims) at constructions as the Heat Insulation Element.
